SCSC Heartfelt Mother’s Day Event 2025

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at Special Children’s Services Centre (SCSC)!
At SCSC, we understand just how special a carer and mother’s love can be — especially when raising a child with additional needs. It’s a kind of strength, warmth, and care that deserves to be celebrated not just once a year, but every single day. Still, we love a good celebration, and this year’s Mother’s Day event was a joyful, musical, and heartfelt tribute to the incredible mothers and carers!
This year, SCSC hosted a fabulous Mother’s Day party, where families gathered to enjoy delicious food, uplifting performances, and plenty of laughter and connection.
Our entertainment line-up was nothing short of inspiring. We were treated to a variety of performances that blended modern flair with traditional charm — all in honour of the love, patience, and dedication shown by mothers and carers.
Our very own Queenie, SCSC’s talented dance teacher, opened the afternoon with a stunning performance. She was followed by one of our special children, who delivered a moving rendition of traditional Chinese songs, paying tribute to mothers with heart and grace. We were also treated to a lively hip-hop solo that lit up the stage with warmth and love.
A definite highlight was when the SCSC Dance Group- made up of our amazing special children- performed a cheeky froggy dance that had the whole room smiling. The atmosphere was so lively and joyful that many audience members couldn’t resist jumping up to join the fun on stage.
And of course, no Mother’s Day celebration at SCSC would be complete without our annual Flower Ceremony. This cherished tradition is our way of showing appreciation for the tireless love and care of mothers and carers. This year, each bouquet was specially crafted from chocolate and candy- a sweet gesture symbolising our gratitude and affection.
Events like this remind us of the power of community and the joy that comes from coming together to honour one another. At SCSC, we are proud to celebrate the extraordinary women and carers who nurture, support, and inspire us every day.
